Egypt Stocks: Arab Cotton and Pioneers Holding Were Active
Egypt’s benchmark EGX30 Index (EGX30) fell for a fifth day, losing 2 percent to 4,791.91 at the close in Cairo.
The following shares were active on the Egyptian Exchange. Stock symbols follow company names.
Arab Cotton Ginning (ACGC) declined 2 percent to 2.51 Egyptians pounds, the lowest close since Feb. 6. Shareholders at the Cairo-based company agreed on a 30 million Egyptian-pound capital decrease.
Pioneers Holding (PIOH) closed at the lowest in almost a month, dropping 3.1 percent to 3.76 pounds. The Cairo-based financial services firm said its board will recommend to shareholders not to distribute a dividend for 2011.
