European Leaders Said to Plan Call Today Before G-8 Summit

European leaders heading to a Group of Eight summit that starts tomorrow outside Washington plan to convene a conference call today, according to two officials from G-8 countries.

Germany’s Angela Merkel, France’s Francois Hollande, Italy’s Mario Monti, and Britain’s David Cameron, along with European Union leaders Herman Van Rompuy and Jose Barroso will talk together today, said the officials, who declined to be identified, citing government policy.
