Metro Internet Sales to Top 100 Million Euros in 2012, FAZ Says

Metro AG (MEO) expects online sales will contribute a “significant three-digit-million” figure to revenue this year and account for 5 percent to 10 percent of all sales in the medium term, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung reported, citing an interview with Chief Executive Officer Olaf Koch.

There was a “clear improvement” at the company’s brands in the first quarter, which include Cash & Carry, Media-Saturn, Real and Galeria Kaufhof, Koch told the newspaper.
