Peru Stocks: Buenaventura, Candente, Rio Alto, Southern Copper
The following companies had unusual price changes in Peru trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses, and share prices are as of the close of trade.
The Lima General Index (IGBVL) fell 1.9 percent to 21,255.20. The MSCI All Peru Capped Index slid 1.9 percent to 2,725.76.
Candente Copper Corp. (DNT) , a Canadian copper exploration company, plunged 7.2 percent to 64 cents after copper declined to a four-month low in New York, said Estefany Castillo, an analyst at Scotiabank Peru.
Panoro Minerals Ltd. (PML) , a Canadian copper and gold exploration company, fell 3 percent to 65 cents.
Southern Copper Corp. (SCCO) , Peru’s biggest copper producer, dropped 2.4 percent to $30.25.
Cia. de Minas Buenaventura SAA (BVN PE), the country’s biggest precious-metals miner, declined 3.4 percent to $36.74 after gold erased its gains for this year in New York.
Rio Alto Mining Ltd. (RIO) , a Canadian gold miner, fell 2.5 percent to $3.95.
