Grizzlies Rally to Force Game 7 Against Clippers in NBA Playoffs

Marc Gasol had 23 points for the Memphis Grizzlies who avoided elimination in the National Basketball Association’s first-round playoffs with a 90-88 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers.

The teams meet tomorrow in Memphis for the final game in their best-of-seven series.

Zach Randolph had 18 points and 16 rebounds for the Grizzlies last night at Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Blake Griffin scored 17 points and Eric Bledsoe added 14 for the Clippers, who were ahead by eight points with eight minutes, 30 seconds left in the game. Two minutes later, Rudy Gay scored on a seven-foot running jumper to give the Grizzlies a 77-76 lead.

The Clippers regained the advantage until Mike Conley’s 3- pointer with four minutes, 37 seconds left gave the Grizzlies an 83-80 lead.

In tonight’s first-round game, the Denver Nuggets visit the Los Angeles Lakers to break their 3-3 Western Conference series tie.

In the first game of the Eastern Conference semifinals, the Boston Celtics host the Philadelphia 76ers.
