Toyota Begins Sales of Redesigned Corolla in Japan

Toyota Motor Corp. (7203), Asia’s biggest carmaker, began selling redesigned versions of its Corolla sedan and wagon in Japan today.
The Axio sedan starts from 1.36 million yen ($17,000) and the Fielder wagon begins at 1.52 million yen, the company said in a statement. Toyota plans to sell 3,000 Axios and 4,000 Fielders a month, according to the statement.
The company sold 70,758 Corollas in Japan last year, according to the Japan Automobile Dealers Association.
