Argentina’s Banco Macro Reports Profit Rises 26% to $73 Million

Banco Macro SA (BMA), the nation’s largest lender by market share, said first-quarter profit increased 26 percent from a year earlier to 324 million pesos ($73 million).

Total deposits increased 12 percent from the previous quarter to 32.7 billion pesos, or 81 percent of total liabilities, Banco Macro said today in a statement filed to regulators.
