Peru Stocks: Aceros Arequipa, Alicorp, Candente, Pomalca

The following companies had unusual price changes in Peru trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and share prices are as of market close in Lima.

The Lima General Index (IGBVL) rose 1 percent to 21,763.94. The MSCI All Peru Capped Index climbed 0.4 percent to 2,802.36.

Panoro Minerals Ltd. (PML) , a Canadian copper and gold exploration company, rose 6.3 percent to 67 cents after copper rebounded in New York, said Angel Alcala, a trader at Lima-based Juan Magot y Asociados SAB.

Candente Copper Corp. (DNT) , a Canadian mining exploration company with operations in Peru, gained 6 percent to 71 cents.

Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca SA (POMALCC1 PE), a sugar producer, rose 5.3 percent to 60 centimos after sugar futures advanced in New York.

Corp. Aceros Arequipa SA (CORAREI1 PE), the Lima-based steelmaker, climbed 2.9 percent to 2.52 soles.

Alicorp SA (ALICORC1) (ALICORC1 PE), Peru’s largest foodstuff maker, advanced 2.8 percent to 6.92 soles.
