Mexico Stocks: Penoles, Grupo Mexico, Urbi Shares Were Active

The following companies had unusual price changes in Mexico trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses, and prices are as of the close in Mexico City.

The IPC index fell 0.2 percent to 39,122.82.

Industrias Penoles SAB (PE&OLES* MM), a Mexican miner of silver and gold, fell 2.7 percent to 592.08 pesos. The metals tumbled on concern political turmoil in Greece is deepening.

Grupo Mexico SAB (GMEXICOB) , Mexico’s biggest mining company, fell 1.5 percent to 39.88 pesos. Copper futures retreated as European concern hurt prospects for demand.

Urbi Desarrollos Urbanos SAB (URBI*) , Mexico’s third- biggest homebuilder by sales, slid 2.3 percent to 12.71 pesos. Urbi may lose its place on MSCI Inc. (MSCI)’s index of Latin American companies in a rebalancing set to be announced May 15, Banco Santander SA (SAN) said in an April 27 report.
