Greek Parliamentary Speaker Announces Election Results
Following is a table of Greece’s national election results as announced by parliamentary speaker Filippos Petsalnikos on state-run NET TV. Petsalnikos was commenting after a meeting with President Karolos Papoulias.
Political Party Percentage (%) Seats New Democracy 18.9 108 Syriza 16.8 52 Pasok 13.2 41 Independent Greeks 10.6 33 Communist Party 8.5 26 Golden Dawn 7.0 21 Democratic Left 6.1 19
The remaining 18.9 percent of votes were cast for parties that didn’t achieve representation in parliament.
