Egypt’s military prosecutor ordered the detention of 300 people arrested yesterday amid clashes between protesters and security forces, Al Ahram Gate reported, citing an unidentified military official.
The 15-day detention orders will remain in force pending the completion of an investigation, the state-run website said. The people being detained face charges including attacking a state institution, use of force against military personnel and congregating, the website said.
