Brazil Corn-Crop Forecast Raised by Informa; Argentina Reduced

Brazil’s corn harvest will be 66 million metric tons this year, up from 62 million tons forecast a month earlier, Informa Economics Inc. said today in a report to clients.

Argentina will produce 21.5 million tons, down from 22 million estimated last month, the Memphis, Tennessee-based agriculture-research company said.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture said on April 10 that Brazil will harvest 62 million tons and Argentina will collect 21.5 million tons. The USDA will update its forecast on May 10.
