Ulster Defeats Edinburgh 22-19 to Reach Heineken Cup Rugby Final

Ulster defeated Edinburgh 22-19 to advance to the Heineken Cup rugby final for the first time in 13 years.
Ruan Pienaar kicked 17 points to lead Ulster to the home win in Dublin. Pienaar booted five penalties and converted Pedrie Wannenburg’s first-half try.
Greg Laidlaw kicked 14 points and James Thompson touched down for Edinburgh, the first Scottish team to reach the semifinals of Europe’s top club competition.
Ulster will meet Clermont Auvergne or Leinster, who play tomorrow, for the title May 19 at Twickenham Stadium in London. Ulster defeated Colomiers 21-6 in its previous final appearance in 1999.
