Diageo’s Kenyan Business Removes Chief Executive Officer Adetu

Seni Adetu will step down as chief executive officer of East African Breweries Ltd. (EABL) as of July 1 and move into the same position at Guinness Nigeria Plc (GUINNESS), according to EABL.

He will be replaced by Devlin Hainsworth, now managing director of Guinness Nigeria, according to a statement published in the Saturday Nation newspaper.

EABL, the Kenyan unit of distiller Diageo Plc (DGE), is Kenya’s biggest company by market value. Guinness Nigeria is the country’s second-biggest beer-maker by market value, is the Nigerian unit of Diageo.
