The Chicago Bulls defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 103-91 in the opening game of the National Basketball Association playoffs.
Derrick Rose had 23 points, nine rebounds and nine assists to lead Chicago, the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference, to the home win. Elton Brand scored 19 points for No. 8 Philadelphia.
Chicago hosts Game 2 in the best-of-seven series on May 1.
