German Farmers Can Start Planting Corn in Most Regions, DMK Says

German farmers in most regions can start planting corn because soil temperatures have risen above 10 degrees Celsius (50 degrees Fahrenheit), industry lobby Deutsches Maiskomitee e.V. wrote.
The past two months have been too dry, and available soil- moisture reserves in large parts of Germany are at 65 percent, the Bonn-based group wrote in a report on its website today.
