EU Commission Plans 9 Billion-Euro Budget Increase, Welt Reports

The European Commission plans to boost the European Union’s budget by about 9 billion euros ($12 billion) next year, Germany’s Die Welt newspaper reported.

That’s an increase of 6 percent compared with the 2012 budget, the newspaper said.
