Shell Restarting Unit at Scotford Refinery in Alberta

Royal Dutch Shell Plc is restarting a unit at the Scotford refinery in Alberta.
The company began restart at 2 p.m. local time yesterday, according to a message left on a community information line. Flaring associated with the work will continue for about 24 hours.
The Scotford complex, 40 kilometers (25 miles) northeast of Edmonton, includes an oil-sands upgrader and a refinery. The refinery can process about 98,000 barrels a day, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.
