Vietnam Stocks: Bourbon Tay Ninh, International Development

Shares of the following companies had unusual moves in Vietnam trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of the 2:15 p.m. close in Ho Chi Minh City. The VN Index (VNINDEX), the benchmark measure of the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, fell 0.3 percent to 465.72, paring this week’s gain to 0.7 percent.

Sugar Stocks: Societe de Bourbon Tay Ninh (SBT VN), Vietnam’s biggest listed sugar company, fell 2.5 percent to 19,200 dong. Bien Hoa Sugar Joint-Stock Co. (BHS) , slumped by the daily limit of 5 percent to 20,900 dong. Ninh Hoa Sugar Joint-Stock Co. (NHS) slid 1.9 percent to 26,500 dong.

Sugar futures fell, extending a slump to a 10-month low, on signs of rising supplies from Asia.

International Development & Investment Corp. (IDI) , which processes and freezes seafood, jumped 4.1 percent to 10,100 dong. The company will pay 2011 dividend of 1,000 dong a share in the third quarter, according to a filing with the bourse.

Lam Dong Mineral & Building Materials Joint-Stock Co. (LBM) , rose 1.2 percent to 8,400 dong. Investor Tran Hung Phuong bought a 5.1 percent stake yesterday, according to a statement on the exchange’s website.
