India’s Gujarat Targets 20% of Power From Renewables by 2020

India’s western state of Gujarat plans to generate 20 percent of its electricity from clean sources by 2020, Principal Secretary of Energy D.J. Pandian said at a conference in Gandhinagar today.

That will require building at least 10,000 megawatts of solar, wind and other renewable power plants, he said.
