Korea East-West Power Seeks to Buy Fuel Oil for Delivery in May

Korea East-West Power Co., one of the six generating units of Korea Electric Power Corp. (KEP), is seeking to buy fuel oil for delivery in May, according to a notice e-mailed to potential suppliers.

Details of the company’s planned purchase are as follow:

Quantity:     50,000 metric tons
Sulfur:       Maximum 2.5 percent
Viscosity:    Maximum of 540 centistokes
Delivery:     May 8 to May 12
Port:         Ulsan
Offers Close: April 24, 2 p.m. local time

The oil’s centistoke rating is a measure of its viscosity, or flow rate, when heated.
