German Economy to Grow 2 Percent in 2013, Handelsblatt Reports

Germany’s economy will expand 2 percent in 2013, accelerating from 0.9 percent this year, Handelsblatt reported, citing forecasts to be presented today in Berlin by the country’s leading economic institutes.

Economic growth may push down Germany’s deficit to 0.2 percent of gross domestic product in 2013, equal to about 5 billion euros ($6.5 billion), the group said.
