Canadian Employment Insurance Claims Decline 1.2% in February

The number of Canadians receiving jobless benefits fell in February, Statistics Canada said.

The number of regular beneficiaries declined 1.2 percent to 552,790 on a seasonally adjusted basis, led by Quebec.

From the year-ago month, the total fell 11.8 percent, the Ottawa-based agency said today.
