ArcelorMittal Ukraine Unit Says March Output 5.9% Up on Year Ago

ArcelorMittal (MT)’s Ukrainian unit said steel production rose by 5.9 percent in March from the same month a year earlier, as equipment was fixed.

Production jumped to 505,100 metric tons from 476,900 tons in March 2011, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, based in the Ukrainian city of that name, said in an e-mailed statement today. First- quarter output was 7.3 percent higher at 1.47 million tons, according to the statement.
