Tora Prison Hospital Ready to Receive Mubarak, Al-Ahram Reports

Egypt’s interior minister said renovations at Cairo’s Tora Prison hospital have been completed and the facility is ready to receive ousted President Hosni Mubarak, the state-run Al-Ahram newspaper reported today.

Interior Minister Mohamed Ibrahim said construction company Arab Contractors had completed the upgrades and other work on the facility, and officials were waiting for a court order to move Mubarak there. Mubarak’s two sons and several other top officials from the ousted regime are being held at the prison, located on Cairo’s outskirts.
