April 15 (Bloomberg) --Nico Rosbergof Mercedes won the Chinese Grand Prix to claim his first Formula One race victory.
Rosberg, who started in pole position, finished 20.6 seconds ahead of McLaren’s Jenson Button in the 56-lap event at Shanghai International Circuit. Lewis Hamilton of McLaren was third ahead of Red Bull duo Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel.
Michael Schumacher, who started second on the grid alongside teammate Rosberg, quit the race shortly after his first pit stop.
The Bahrain Grand Prix, the fourth event in the 20-race 2012 world championship, is scheduled April 22.
