Google Disputes FCC Privacy Probe Filing, Says Law Not Violated
Google Inc. (GOOG) said it wasn’t “found to have violated any laws” in an investigation by the U.S. Federal Communications Commission of the company’s data collection practices.
“As the FCC notes in their report, we provided all the materials the regulators felt they needed to conclude their investigation,” Google said in an e-mailed statement today. “We disagree with the FCC’s characterization of our cooperation in their investigation and will be filing a response.”
The FCC said in an April 13 filing that Google faced a $25,000 fine for failing to cooperate with an investigation
