Swaziland Opposition Leaders Arrested, Activist Group Says

Mario Masuku, the leader of Swaziland’s opposition Peoples’ United Democratic Movement was arrested today while attending a prayer service, according to activist group the Swaziland Solidarity Network.
Several other opposition leaders were also detained and were being held at the police headquarters in the town of Manzini, the group said in an e-mailed statement today.
Political parties are banned in the Swaziland, which borders South Africa and is ruled by King Mswati III. Masuku’s group is campaigning to change the political system.
