Polish Stocks: Bank BGZ, Mostostal Warszawa Active in Warsaw

Poland’s WIG20 Index (WIG20) gained 1.2 percent to 2,278.48, its highest close since April 3.

The following were among the most active stocks on the Warsaw Stock Exchange today. Stock symbols follow company names.

Bank Gospodarki Zywnosciowej SA (BGZ) , the Polish unit of Rabobank Groep, jumped 52 percent to 71.35 zloty, a record high, after the biggest Dutch mortgage lender offered to buy the remaining 40 percent stake in the company.

Mostostal Warszawa SA (MSW) , the Polish construction company controlled by Spain’s Acciona SA, gained 0.7 percent to 14.75 zloty, the first advance in more than a week after the builder won a 666.2 million-zloty ($209 million) contract to build a waste-to-energy project.
