Southern Copper Corp. (PCU\C) (SCCO PE), Peru’s biggest copper producer, jumped 5.5 percent to $31.65 after copper advanced the most in a week in New York, said Javier Frisancho, a trader at Lima-based brokerage Kallpa Securities SAB.
Rio Alto Mining Ltd. (RIO) , a Canadian gold miner, gained 3.4 percent to $4.50 after gold climbed to a one-week high in New York.
Cia. de Minas Buenaventura SAA (BVN PE), the country’s biggest precious-metals miner, rose 2.4 percent to $42.
Minera IRL Ltd. (MIRL) , a U.K. gold producer with a mine in Peru, gained 1.9 percent to $1.06.
