Mexico’s March Auto Production Rose 9.4% From Year Ago

Mexican production of cars and light trucks rose 9.4 percent to 268,625 units in March from the year-earlier period, the nation’s Automobile Industry Association reported.

Exports of vehicles climbed 22.7 percent to 236,599 units over the same period, the group said in a statement distributed in Mexico City today.

Domestic sales increased 11.2 percent to 83,574 vehicles, according to the nation’s car dealership association, or AMDA, in a separate report issued at the same event.
