Orange, Thales to Get French Cloud Computing Funds, Figaro Says

The French government will announce next week an investment of 75 million euros ($98 million) in a cloud computing project led by France Telecom SA (FTE)’s Orange mobile service and Thales SA (HO), Le Figaro reported without saying where it got the information.

French Prime Minister Francois Fillon and Rene Ricol, a government investment adviser, will announce the choice for support of the Andromede project, which may be used by France’s defense, health and aerospace industries, according to the newspaper.
