ICE Coffee Inventories Fall 2.1% in March, Exchange Data Show

Stockpiles (CSCITLTL) of washed-arabica coffee at warehouses monitored by ICE Futures U.S. in New York dropped 2.1 percent in March from the previous month, exchange data show.

As of March 30, inventories stood at 1.538 million bags, down from 1.572 million in February, according to ICE.

The stockpiles also declined 2.1 percent from a year earlier, the data show. One bag weighs 60 kilograms, or 132 pounds.

Arabica-coffee futures for May delivery jumped 3.4 percent to settle at $1.8245 a pound at 2 p.m. on ICE.
