Italian Tax Police Seize Qaddafi Shares in UniCredit, Eni, Fiat

Italy’s financial police said they seized 1.1 billion euros of assets controlled by the family of late Libyan dictator Muammar Qaddafi, including shares of UniCredit SpA (UCG), Fiat SpA (F), Fiat Industrial SpA (FI), Eni SpA (ENI) and Juventus Football Club SpA. (JUVE)

The police also seized a Harley Davidson (HOG) motorcycle and 150 hectares of land on the island of Pantelleria, near Sicily, the Italian tax police said in an e-mailed statement. The Italian authorities were acting on a request by the International Criminal Court in the Hague, the police said in the statement.
