China to Step Up Regulation of Artifacts Market, Xinhua Reports

China plans to intensify regulation and management of the “chaotic” cultural-artifacts market, Xinhua News Agency said, citing Li Yaoshen, an official at the State Administration of Cultural Heritage.
The government agency will set up a sytem to manage and regulate certificates of authenticity and promulgate more specific rules on the conduct of auctions of relics, the official news service reported.
