Canada Teranet Existing Home Price Index Rose 0.1% in January

Canadian home resale prices rose 0.1 percent in January, according to the Teranet-National Bank Composite House Price Index.

Halifax, Nova Scotia, led the increase with a 0.7 percent gain, according to a report today by National Bank Financial.

Prices were 6.5 percent higher in January than a year earlier, slower than December’s 6.8 percent increase.
