Mexico Cuts Sugar Forecast for 2012 Crop to 5.04 Million Tons

Mexico, the world’s sixth-largest sugar producer, cut its official production estimate by 1.2 percent to 5.04 million tons this crop year.

Conadesuca, an industry committee headed by the Agriculture Ministry, had predicted output of 5.1 million tons of sugar this season, according a report posted on its website.
