Natixis Said to Hire Crook to Head Acquisition Finance Americas

Natixis SA (KN) has hired Edward Crook as head of acquisition and strategic finance for the Americas, according to two people familiar with the matter.

Crook reports to New York-based Jerome le Jamtel, head of debt and finance for the Amercias for Natixis’s corporate and investment banking unit, and to Paris-based Imed Ben Romdhane and Fabrice Croppi, the global heads of acquisition and strategic finance, one of the people said.

Crook was previously Standard Chartered Plc (STAN)’s head of leveraged finance for Asia, based in Hong Kong, the person said, asking not to be identified because the details are private. Crook left the London-based bank in February last year, the person said.

Two telephone calls and an e-mail to Amelie Rabine, a Hong Kong-based spokeswoman for Natixis, seeking comment on Crook’s appointment weren’t immediately returned.
