Kim, Ocampo and Okonjo-Iweala to Be Considered for World Bank

Jim Yong Kim, Jose Antonio Ocampo and Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala will be considered for president of the World Bank, the institution’s board of executive directors said in a statement today.

Kim, the Dartmouth College president, is the U.S. candidate announced today by President Barack Obama. Ocampo is a Colombian national and a professor at Columbia University in New York. Okonjo-Iweala is Nigeria’s finance minister and coordinating minister of the economy.
