Belarus to Boost Soybean Planting This Year, UkrAgroConsult Says

Belarus will boost soybean planting to 18,200 hectares (44,973 acres) for the 2012 harvest, according to Kiev-based agricultural researcher UkrAgroConsult.

That’s up from an average of between 3,000 and 5,000 hectares a year in the past, Yulia Garkavenko, oilseed analyst at UkrAgroConsult, said by phone today.
