General Motors Co. (GM) is evaluating a potential closure of two of Adam Opel GmbH’s plants in Europe at a cost of 1.5 billion euros ($2 billion), Handelsblatt reported.
The factories in Ellesmere Port in the U.K and Bochum in Germany are particularly at risk, the newspaper said in a preview of an article that will be published tomorrow, citing unidentified people familiar with the plans. No decisions on any potential closures have yet been taken, Handelsblatt reported.
