Skoda Auto’s World Market Share Increased to 1.4% in 2012

Skoda Auto AS, the German unit of Volkswagen AG (VOW), said its world market share of the automobile market grew to more than 1.4 percent last year as the company increased sales in Russia and China.

Skoda Auto delivered 879,200 cars during 2011, a 15.3 percent increase on the year, company executives said today at a press conference in Prague. Operating profit rose 66 percent to 743 million euros ($986.3 million).
