Ivory Coast Farmgate Cocoa Prices for Week to March 4

The following are prices paid for cocoa at the main growing centers in Ivory Coast from Feb. 26 to March 4, according to the figures published on the website of the Bourse du Cafe et du Cacao.

The national average paid was 685 CFA francs ($1.35) per kilogram (2.2 pounds), and varied from 700 francs to 650 francs, the state-run bourse said.

The West African nation, the world’s biggest cocoa producer, set the indicative farmgate cocoa price for the 2011-12 season at 1,000 francs on Oct. 3. Prices are in CFA francs per kilogram ($1 = 504.5 CFA francs).
