Canada to Make Announcement About Telecom Industry

Canadian Industry Minister Christian Paradis will make an announcement today about the telecommunications industry. Paradis will make a statement around 4 p.m., an advisory from his office said.

While the advisory provides no details, Canada has been preparing to issue rules that will govern its next auction of wireless spectrum. Canada has also been studying changes to foreign ownership rules in the sector.
