Amata Corp. Pcl (AMATA) , a developer of industrial land, climbed 1.2 percent to 17 baht, poised for the highest close since Feb. 23. Amata signed an agreement to sell more than 500 rai (196.4 acres) of land to Bridgestone Corp., Chief Operating Officer Viboon Kromadit said today by phone.
Central Plaza Hotel Pcl (CENTEL) , a hotel and restaurant operator, gained 4.4 percent to 11.9 baht, set for its biggest advance since Jan. 10. The stock was upgraded to buy from accumulate by Phillip Securities Thailand Pcl. Revenue may climb 20 percent to about 13 billion baht ($424 million) in 2012 on its food and hotel businesses, Krungthep Turakij reported, citing Vice President Ronnachit Mahattanapreut. Ronnachit was not immediately available for comment after a call to his office.
Siam Commercial Bank Pcl (SCB) , the nation’s third- largest lender by total assets, advanced 1.9 percent to 135 baht. The bank expects to lend an additional 15 billion baht loans to small- and medium-sized businesses in 2012, according to the statement on its website.
