Thailand Stocks: Chai Watana, Thai Rubber, Unique Engineering

Shares of the following companies had unusual moves in Thailand trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of 10:29 a.m. in Bangkok.

The SET Index (SET) rose for the first time in three days, increasing 0.3 percent to 1,153.42.

Chai Watana Tannery Pcl (CWT) , a producer of leather products, advanced 2.7 percent to 11.3 baht. The company will cut its stock’s par value to 1 baht from 5 baht, it said in a regulatory filing.

Thai Rubber Latex Corp. (Thailand) Pcl (TRUBB) , a Thai rubber producer, increased 1.2 percent to 4.94 baht, poised for the highest close since Feb. 22. Rubber futures advanced as much as 0.7 percent to 340.4 yen a kilogram ($4,133 a metric ton) on the Tokyo Commodity Exchange, a fourth day of gains.

Unique Engineering & Construction Pcl (UNIQ) , a construction company, gained 1 percent to 1.97 baht, set for the highest close since Feb. 28. The company is seeking 122.6 million baht compensation from insurers after floods damaged its properties and equipment, it said in a regulatory filing.
