Peru Stocks: Alturas, Buenaventura, Maple and Panoro Decline

The following companies had unusual price changes in Peru trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and share prices are as of 4:10 p.m. in Lima.

The Lima General Index (IGBVL) fell for the first time in four days, losing 1 percent to 22,997.66. The MSCI All Peru Capped Index (MXPECAPD) slid 0.5 percent to 2,895.70.

Alturas Minerals Corp. (ALT) , a Canadian copper and gold exploration company, dropped 7.7 percent to 12 cents after copper fell in New York, said Eduardo Fernandini, a trader at Lima-based Kallpa Securities SAB.

Panoro Minerals Ltd. (PML) , a Canadian copper and gold exploration company, slumped 4.8 percent to 80 cents.

Cia. de Minas Buenaventura SAA (BVN PE), the country’s biggest precious metals miner, slid 2.5 percent to $39.14 after gold fell below $1,700 an ounce in New York.

Maple Energy Plc (MPLE) , the oil and natural gas producer with operations in Peru, fell 2.3 percent to $1.27 after crude futures declined in New York.
