Peru Stocks: Cerro Verde, Credicorp, Panoro Minerals, Pomalca
Sociedad Minera Cerro Verde SA (CVERDEC1) (CVERDEC1 PE), a unit of Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc., rose 3 percent to $41.
Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca SA (POM\C) (POMALCC1 PE), a sugar producer, gained 3.5 percent to 59 centimos, the biggest one-day gain since Feb. 8, after the government disclosed plans to sell its remaining shares, said Arlen Lahura, a trader at Lima-based brokerage Coril SAB.
Credicorp Ltd. (BAP) , Peru’s largest financial-services company, climbed 1.8 percent to $126.27 after U.S. stocks rose, said Estefany Castillo, an analyst at Scotiabank Peru.
