Brazilian January Industrial Production Declines 3.4% From Year Ago

Brazil’s industrial output fell 3.4 percent in January from a year ago, the national statistics agency said today in Rio de Janeiro. Economists had expected a decrease of 1.4 percent, according to the median forecast from 44 analysts surveyed by Bloomberg.

Output fell 2.1 percent from the previous month.
