Treasuries Advance as Decline in Asian Stocks Feeds Demand for Safety

Treasuries gained as Asian stocks declined, spurring demand for the relative safety of U.S. government securities.

The yield on 10-year U.S. debt fell two basis points, or 0.02 percentage point, to 1.99 percent as of 1:32 p.m. in Tokyo.
